REFORM Alliance is conducting this survey to better understand how recent changes to mandatory supervised release (MSR) and parole under Illinois SB 423 are being experienced in real life.

We want to hear directly from people impacted by supervision to learn:

  • Whether the changes under the law are being implemented clearly and fairly
  • What challenges still exist
  • What support may still be missing for people navigating reentry and supervision

Your responses will help inform advocacy efforts focused on improving fairness, transparency, and successful reentry outcomes across Illinois.

This survey should take approximately 3–5 minutes to complete. Please only complete this survey if you are currently on Mandatory Supervised Release or parole, or if you were on Mandatory Supervised Release or parole on or after January 1st, 2024.

Your information is confidential. We will protect your privacy and will not share your name, contact information, or responses with anyone—including probation or parole officers, government agencies, or other organizations.

Will you answer a few questions?
Has your Parole Officer (PO) spoken with you or did your PO speak with you about the possibility of early termination from supervision at least once every 6 months?
